James Hutton Institute

Mylnefield Research Services Ltd was founded in 1989 and has been trading since 1992. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the James Hutton Institute and is responsible for commercialising the intellectual property and expertise of the Institute. The profits made by MRS are gift aided back to JHI and reinvested in research.

Nigel Kerby
Nigel Kerby is Managing Director and member of the Senior Management Group of JHI.

Jonathan Snape
Commercial Director. Responsible for new business development including licensing plant varieties and patented technologies, analytical services and project management.

Lesley Beaton
Commercialisation Officer responsible for licensing plant varieties, collecting royalties and managing projects.

Angela McNally
PA to the Directors of MRS
Provides secretarial support to the Managing Director and Commercial Director
