About us

Mylnefield Research Services Ltd was founded in 1989 and has been trading since 1992. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Scottish Crop Research Institute and is responsible for commercialising the intellectual property and expertise of the Institute. The profits made by MRS are gift aided back to SCRI and reinvested in research.


 
 

Nigel Kerby
Managing Director and member of the Senior Management Group of SCRI

 

Jonathan Snape
Commercial Director. Responsible for new business development including licensing plant varieties and patented technologies, analytical services and project management.

 

Anne Ross
Administrative Executive Officer. Responsible for HR, Payroll, Pension and IIP.  Liaison between MRS and SCRI Administration Departments (i.e. Finance, HR etc.).  Also undertake costings for all external contracts.

 
 
   

Lesley Beaton
Commercialisation Officer responsible for licensing plant varieties, collecting royalties and managing projects.

 

Hayley Wilson
Provides secretarial support to the Managing Director and Commercial Director
